Red Dream Catcher Decoration

Last week we talked bout the story of dream catcher. Today we will make one. The overall shape of this dream catcher pendant is very simple and the weaving technique is very meticulous. With the elegant feather of red, the whole product looks very beautiful. Come and make it one together if you are interested with it too.

The materials needed are wooden linking rings, nylon thread, feather pendant and bead strands. Also we prepared scissors and lighters for further use. Now we will start making.

Firstly we will wind the thread around the wooden ring. Tie a knot first and then begin winding. While doing this , try to make sure the distance between every two not are the same. When the thread comes back to the first knot, we will begin the second round of weaving. This time the knot will be tied in the middle of the thread we made in the first round. Now you may already get the key. Because in the next step, we will make the third round and the knot will be tied in the middle of the thread we made in the second round. Because of the ring size we chose, the hole in the middle is small enough and the threads are very close so we will just make three rounds. If your ring is larger, you can keep weaving.

The rest steps will be much easier. We will use thread to connect the bead and feathers to three continuous knots. And in the other end, we will still use the thread to connect a smaller ring and a bead to it. Finally you can hang this dream catcher beside your bed and you will have a good dream tonight.
