Tips! How to Care for Cubic Zirconia Rings

Zircon, named Cubic Zirconia, is a synthetic gemstone wrapped in the inclusions of natural zircon. Because of its strong luster, high dispersion and high hardness, zircon is often used as a substitute for diamonds, i.e. imitating diamonds. It gives people a sense of simplicity and authenticity, and its price is lower, so as to be the best in middle and low-grade gemstones. 

 

How to care for Cubic Zirconia rings?

1. Cubic Zirconia and cosmetics should be placed strictly separately. Cubic Zirconia is oil-producing and easy to be stained with cosmetics such as grease, which will weaken its surface luster.

2. Cubic Zirconia jewelry should be removed when washing and bathing.

3. Zircon jewelry should not be worn in the polluted environment full of chemical gases. Because all jewelries should avoid sulfur and emeralds should avoid pesticides. 

4.When sweating, you should wear less zircon jewelry. 

5. Multiple jewelries should be placed separately. For example, zircon is hard and easy to scratch other gemstones.

6. Cubic Zirconia jewelry should not be put together with medicines. Some medicines can react chemically with jewelry, causing the jewelry discolored and deteriorated.

7. Avoid high temperature for Cubic Zirconia ornaments. Some gemstones are not resistant to high temperature, dehydration and cracking, or discoloration at high temperature. For example, cat's eye stone is not resistant to high temperature, the wax layer on the surface of jade above 55 degrees Celsius will dissolve, reducing the luster of wax. And jump ring can be easily twisted at high temperature.

8. Cubic Zirconia jewelry should not be shocked violently. Although many inlaid ornaments base design is very solid, but the violent shock is not appropriate. If you need to knock at work, you should take off the jewelry first.

9. Cubic Zirconia silver jewelry is easy to be blacken after wearing for a long time, which is a normal phenomenon. It can be soaked in ammonia water, baking soda water or wiped with toothpaste, then washed with clean water, and then wiped to restore luster.
